A beautiful and full-sized Carthay Circle Theater stands as the centerpiece of this beautiful short of a quiet and calm morning at Disney California Adventure. For a park with such a disastrous beginning and a current focus that is less than perfect, there are still times when it feels like classic Disney Imagineering. Cars Land and Radiator Springs Racers is deservedly the best of the bunch. Pixar Pier may be a misstep and Avengers Campus less than it should be, but a day at a Disney park is still better than most. Unless you're in Orlando, where the Wizarding Worlds of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando give Disney a run for their money. (Photograph copyright Mark Taft.)
