The Pokemon Cafe
Gotta love this video! And you gotta love the joy on this Dad's face as he takes his kid to the Pokemon Cafe in Tokyo, Japan. Through My Lens is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels to watch. Check out the great video travelogue:

Trekking the World
Are you a fan of board games? Do you love to explore the globe? Perhaps you have an appreciation for travel posters? If you answer "Yes!" all three of these questions, Trekking the World is the game for you! Not only is the actual game play fun and challenging, the artistic elements of it are just beautiful. Here's a sample of three Destination cards laid atop the game board. On the back side of each one is a detailed description of each attraction. Natural attractions and man made ones are included. It's a bit educational, very competitive and strategic, and 100% fun.

It's a Win!
Anybody play the strategy board game Pandemic? If you do, you'll appreciate this milestone accomplishment: We ended the game with three viruses eradicated, no outbreaks, and not a single cube on the board. This game's very collaborative and fun! And it's been a great time for my wife and I to work together and appreciate each others' problem solving skills.

Dastardly Game
Some Christmas gifts are fun and others are just plainVillainous. If you're looking for a mesmerizing and challenging evening, this may be just the board game you want to bring to your next gathering if it includes fans of Disney animated films.
What would Ursula, Maleficent or the Queen of Hearts do to defeat Jafar, Prince John, or Captain Hook? Just about anything and everything! But they first have to defeat the heroes in their own world. It's a strategy game like no other. And it has really sweet graphics to boot.
Thanks to my youngest son for the gift- and for getting us addicted.

Codenames
Here's a great little card game to enjoy over the Christmas holiday. Codenames. It's a simple concept, but it takes a very intriguing twist as you play. I won't give this game of spying away, but let me say it certainly reveals how well you know the other players and how they think. (Plus, the graphics are pretty cool!)

Saturday Afternoon Gametime
Enjoying lunch and a sweet little afternoon game with my wife. Makes the snowy and gray day not as dreary. What a blessing from God she is- except when she gets competitive! ;)

First Settlers, Now Ticket to Ride
Wow- Ticket to Ride has to be one of the catchiest, most fun, and addictive games since Settlers of Catan! The strategy seems to change with every move. It seems so innocent, so easy- until someone unknowingly blocks your route! Check this game out. It is worth the money. It will be a night of family fun for all ages. The Beatles or Carpenters title song not included...

Maddening and Addicting
Ever have a love / hate relationship with someone or something? That's exactly how I feel about this game, Settlers of Catan. the whole experience seems like one exercise in futility, and then just a moment or two later, you find yourself strategically planning your next series of moves. Why I didn't discover this game ealier, I do not know. Love it! Hate it! Play it!
