Tiki Saturday

Certainly, it's a Tiki kind of Saturday! As I finish up my last day's trip report for Walt Disney World, I thought I'd share an image not shown from my One Day, Two Park, 26 Attractions time at Disneyland on July 5.

The Enchanted Tiki Room has endured as one of my favorite attractions. Imagineering was just hitting its peak in those early years, but no one had an idea where it would truly go when the park debuted this show in 1963.

On a hot day, I entered the garden waiting to hear the sounds of the tropics and watch the charming show. It was a fun house and still quite fun! I took many more photos than this, but especially once you enlarge it, it's still beautiful in there. If you want to read about my Commando day at the Disneyland Resort and pick up a few tips, go here.

Hello Mark,

Hope you’re going well. Just coming to tell you a trick to enhance easily pictures - IF you have Photoshop as you need Photoshop. So, we’ll do the example with the Tiki Room picture you posted recently. If you have Photoshop, open the pic with Photoshop, then choose to go on the top to : Image , then Adjustments , then choose: Shadows Highlights and it will “light” the dark area.

Then, go again to: Image, and choose: auto color it will put the colors right when there is too much red or magenta, etc...

Then go again to: Image , then Adjustments, then choose: Hue / Saturation with which you can saturate more the color is needed.

Look at the result below, i’ve posted it on D&M Facebook page, you have more colorful colors, the kind that you have with the show lighting. May be i’ve been a bit strong on the saturation, though, but just a bit.

If you want to post this one instead of the one you’ve posted, feel free to do it.

Best

Alain
