Today several Disney blog sites are reporting that an official but unnamed spokesman confirmed the 2017 Night of Joy event was truly the last one. What first began at Walt Disney World in 1983 has come to an end. The timing? Foolish, perhaps pointed, and rather ironic.

I don’t see what is foolish or ironic about this move. There’s lots of factors that go into a decision like this. Most Americans do not recognize the “National Day of Prayer” as having any relevancy and is really just a day for politicians to pander to gullible religious folks. Since there are two Christian festivals held at roughly the same time in Orlando I figure one would eventually have to go.
