My Miracle Grandson

Believe in miracles? I do! Just look at my grandson. The doctors told my daughter and son-in-law that little Parker would be born with Dandy Walkers Syndrome, because his cerebellum was not there, causing his motor skills to be severely impaired. Even a couple of weeks before his birth, there was just the slightest bit of brain tissue there.

So there we were at the hospital Thursday night into Good Friday morning. He was born at 6:16am- and the MRI they did Saturday showed a cerebellum and no signs of Dandy Walker. Our little grandson was fully normal, fully healthy, and incredibly strong.

Many people might consider this a misdiagnosis, but sonograms and pictures do not lie. What once wasn't there now is! God did a miracle- only proving once again that the Lord Jesus Christ is alive. He is an active and personal God for all who believe. His activity in the world is obvious to those who look to Him, and sometimes obvious to those who do not know Him. He cannot be explained away!

Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and choosing to respond this way. We would have loved Parker anyway, but now he will always be a reminder of your power and love. A Good Friday indeed!

For such a beautiful article, your use of the word "normal" sure made me cringe.

I'm not sure I understand why. Please explain.

It's truly wonderful to see God do something miraculous. What a great reminder that He still does amazing things to bring glory to His name and to bless His children.

Welcome to the world, Parker!
