Goodbye to Kim's Convenience

The antics of the Kim family of Kim's Convenience fame crack me up! Having been in a church with roots in the Korean community, I can relate to so many aspects of it all! Paul Sun-Hyun Lee's Appa and Jean Yoon's Umma ring true to life, but it is Simu Liu's Jung and Andrea Bang's devoted daughter that bring the contrast of old and modern Koreans to light. 

The series began to slip in Seasons 4 and 5 as the writers moved away from what made the series funny and heartwarming. They chose to sacrifice it on the altar of political correctness and agenda. So, if you're new to the show, be forewarned. 

The Kim family and music stars BTS, represent something fresh and new to American viewers, even if at times it's done imperfectly. And I so will miss them on the small screen.
