This photograph is against the law! Really. Here's a few other places that are illegal to photograph. (By the way, each of these images blow up into very large sizes.)
A blue Eiffel Tower sparkles.
During the daytime, it is not at all against the law to photograph the beloved Parisian icon. But at night, it is 100% illegal to do so. How makes up these idiotic laws? (I will resist the easy joke. I will resist the easy joke...)
My suggestion- Don't rely on photographs to see the Tower or Paris itself. The city truly is one of the most beautiful ones on earth. Totally worth your time!

In fact, it is not shooting the Eiffel Tower by night that is illegal, it's to use a photo of it's sparkling night show for commercial purpose. That night show is a work of art under copyrights.
